Honk,
a respected shell suit salesman, spends his spare time
perfecting his bunker play. Unlike his hero, Gary Player,
he prefers the thin with overspin into the face of the
'trap', killing all pace on the ball allowing it to
trickle down to the cup. Last failed to get up and down
in 1976. His 'divebombers' from the tee are also the
stuff of legend.
Susceptible, however to the odd temper tantrum - peaking
perhaps with the infamous Northenden 'storming off'
incident.
