Old Mates Feathers and Brades shared the spoils during The Pluggers' September rendezvous in Scotland. Feaths got off to a flyer at Ladybank opening up a nine skin lead. The day was not without controversy bringing back haunting memories of Lahinch as Brades was involved in a 'preferred lies' dispute. This was soon forgotten when the Pluggers moved onto Open Qualifying course Lundin Links. The Coat won his first skin in emphatic style but a couple of unlucky breaks cost him several skins and he finished the day with a total of three. The day was again not without incident - the main flashpoint being the 'he was in front of the tee markers if that had been me you would have pulled me up on it' dispute. Brades took the day with 14 skins and he and Feaths were level going into the last day. The final day at the magnificent Dunbar course but sadly the Skins Tournament was cut short due to the weather. An honourable draw was the final outcome with Feathers and Brades both on 21 skins. Duffy brought up the rear with an admirable and career high 6 skins. So the Champions Pipe will be shared - Roll on Ireland 2001!!!
