GARBY'S ATTEMPT TO JOIN PLUGGERS ENDS IN BLACKBALL
At The Pluggers' latest gathering Ian Garbutt's application to join The Society was unexpectedly turned down. When the balls were pulled out of the bag there was an eerie silence as the black ball appeared. The Pluggers' selection process makes it impossible to tell which member objected to Garby, however the general feeling was that with Martin Rowley's application pending, it would be inappropriate to admit Garby before the great man.

HONK - SUCCESS ON CHALLENGE TOUR
Plugger Honk has won the right to rejoin the main Tour after a successful season on the Littlewoods Butchers Marple and High Lane Satellite Tour. The highlight was a record 63 at Marple which included a record 18 up and downs from sand (9 for birdies). For his efforts he won a joint of beef, 3lbs of mince and a lifetime's supply of offal. |
